Conditions we see
Cataract
Clouding of the eye’s natural lens, assessed here and treated at our specialist centre.
Glaucoma
Damage to the optic nerve, usually linked to raised pressure inside the eye.
Eyelid conditions
Droopy eyelids and conditions of the eyelids and the tear drainage system.
Dry eyes
Persistent grittiness, burning or watering of the eyes.
Diabetic eye disease
Changes to the retina caused by diabetes, picked up through regular screening.
Eye injuries
Knocks, scratches, a foreign body in the eye, or irritation after an injury.
A serious eye injury needs A&E, not an appointment. Go straight to a hospital emergency department for a chemical splash, a penetrating injury, or sudden loss of vision after a blow.
