Profiles

Dr Seow’s values

  • Commitment

Diagnosis and treatment follow current clinical evidence.

  • Compassion

Care for patients with kindness, empathy and respect.

  • Integrity

Tests, procedures and medication only where necessary.

His approach to care

Clear explanation, care fitted to the person, and a preference for finding problems early.

Dr Seow’s care is patient-centred: what he recommends is shaped around the individual and the family in front of him, not around the condition alone. He believes in care that is clinically sound and personal, built on clear communication and empathy, so that each patient feels heard and supported.

He places particular weight on preventive care — on giving patients and their families what they need to make informed decisions about their eye health over a lifetime.

His interest in care is community-focused. During his medical degree he took part in six medical mission trips to Cambodia between 2014 and 2019, and he returned in 2024 to help run an eye clinic there. At home he sees patients of all ages at The Straits Eye Community Clinic.

“Most eye conditions do not have symptoms in the early stages. Regular eye checks or screenings help us to identify them early to prevent vision loss.”
