About Dr Jason
Senior Consultant and Medical Director at The Straits Eye Centre, based at Camden Medical Centre on Orchard Boulevard.
Dr Jason Lee practises general ophthalmology — myopia and refractive error, cataract and diabetic retinopathy — with an added focus on oculoplastics: the eyelids, the orbit and the tear drainage system.
He completed his residency training at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, then took fellowships at the National Taiwan University Hospital in Taiwan and the Wenzhou Medical University Eye Hospital in China, in conditions of the eyelids, orbit and tear system.
Before setting up The Straits Eye Centre, he was Senior Consultant at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and Visiting Consultant at Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
He and Dr Jayant V Iyer co-founded The Vision Mission in 2014. It works to alleviate treatable blindness in Asia and beyond.
He believes all patients have a right to good sight, and works closely with primary care providers to deliver on it.

Tear duct surgery
Watering or sticky eyes caused by a blocked tear drainage system.
Cataract surgery
Clouding of the eye’s natural lens, replaced with a clear intraocular lens.
Refractive errors
Short-sightedness, long-sightedness and astigmatism, and the spectacles or lenses that correct them.
Diabetic retinopathy
Changes to the retina caused by diabetes, picked up through regular screening.
General eye care
Routine eye screening and examinations, for adults and children.
